Southern BBQ Classics

Summertime is the best time for many produce and to grill their barbecue recipes. As a past time, it is a way of cooking for family picnics, Father’s Day, Memorial Day, and the Fourth of July. With popularity and the availability of pork in that region, recipes and many dishes have emerged. Below are some terrific Southern Classics which make for primary dish recipes for any function.

Baby Back Ribs: Baby back ribs are another popular classic, and there are many unique types of recipes out there. Ribs are slowly cooked until tender over indirect heat for many hours. There are basically two types of ribs: wet and dry. Dry ribs are seasoned with spices, in which wet ribs are covered in barbecue sauce.

Beef Brisket: Beef Brisket is not a naturally tender cut of pork, but it’s also another classic favorite among many. When prepared properly, which also requires a great deal of patience and cooking, it can be very flavorful and tender. It can be served as a dish by itself, or others may use it in other dishes or for sandwiches.

Pork Chops: Pork chops are just another Southern barbecue classic, which are usually ready either grilled or fried, though they can also be baked in the oven as well. Sauces and different seasonings can contribute to a wide variety of flavors and recipes available.

The majority of these dishes can be cooked by marinating the meat in your favorite spices, cooking very slowly over a low heat, and then serving with your preferred choice of sauce. These foods are so tender, flavorful, and distinctive, it is not surprising that many of these classics are popular foods to serve across the United States!
